A dry event, overcast at times but dry none the less!

The morning practice saw Peter start off with a time in the 106s, a good solid start with mum complaining of poor handling balance. My first practice saw me spin on the third corner after being told there was 'bags' of grip and me trying to go round flat on cold tyres.... I had to go again as i hadn;t completed a lap, and this time the throttle jammed wide open off the back straight and over the finish line, after which i spun again! A poor time resulted of 110s.

First run of the afternoon saw Peter set a PB of 104.17s a solid time, whilst I struggled to get the right frame of mind and ended lagging behind with a time in the 105s. Mum set a time in the 120s.

The final run was much better for me after realising I'd been in the wrong gear all day, and I set a 103.80, 0.13 seconds off the record which i set on the previous visit to the venue. This was good enougth for the class win as Peter went slower to set a 105. The time was also good enougth for 4th overall behind Roy and David Sims, and Ian Thomas. Mum had a spin on her final run.

A really good fight between me and Peter, and possibly my most satisfying victory. A great day!
